Teenager Killed in Ludhiana While Buying Vegetables, Attacked by Motorcyclists with Sharp Weapons

Ludhiana: A case involving the brutal murder of a 16-year-old teenager has come to light in Ludhiana. The deceased had gone out to buy vegetables, taking his maternal aunt’s son along with him on a motorcycle. On the way, however, a group of individuals surrounded them, beat them, and attacked them with sharp-edged weapons.

Following a three-day investigation, the police at the Sadar Police Station have registered a case against four named individuals and 10 to 12 unidentified youths. The deceased has been identified as Sahil, who succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

Attacked Near Sewa Kendra

In a statement given to the police, the complainant, Sanjit Singh—a resident of Karnail Singh Nagar—stated that on May 21, 2026, his son, Sahil, had gone out on a motorcycle to buy vegetables accompanied by his maternal aunt’s son, Pankaj. When the duo reached the vicinity of the Sewa Kendra near the Phullanwala Stadium, a group of youths already present in the lane attempted to stop them.

Sahil dismounted from the motorcycle and attempted to flee, at which point the accused attacked him with sharp-edged weapons. The attack resulted in severe injuries to Sahil’s head and body. In a critically injured condition, he was admitted to Mediways Hospital on Ferozepur Road, where he passed away during treatment.
