Mann Govt Fulfills Another Guarantee

Upon assuming power in Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) offered five major guarantees to the people of Punjab. The fifth guarantee was the “Maanwa Dhiyaan Satkar Yojana.” This guarantee has also been fulfilled, as promised to the people of Punjab.

This scheme is very generous. Under this scheme, every woman belonging to the Scheduled Caste category in Punjab will receive Rs. 1,500 per month, and every woman belonging to the General Category will receive Rs. 1,000 per month. On Wednesday, the first installment of Rs. 4,500 and Rs. 3,000 were deposited into the women’s accounts, respectively, for the months of April and June. On this occasion, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Today is undoubtedly a historic day. We are strengthening the spirit of women’s empowerment.” Under this scheme, every woman (even if she is also benefiting from any other scheme) will receive a monthly sum of money without any discrimination.

More than 4 million women have registered under this scheme so far. On this occasion, he rebuked the opposition parties, saying that their mouths will now be shut. Senior leader Manish Sisodia and Punjab Cabinet Minister Aman Arora were also present with Chief Minister Mann on the occasion. The scheme officially began on July 1st, with the Satkar amount being credited to women’s accounts. The government states that it has initiated this scheme with the utmost care to ensure its continued sustainability.

Women receiving social security pensions will also receive this additional amount, thus empowering women financially. Punjab women appear to be extremely happy with this scheme.
