MLA Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra Declared Proclaimed Offender, Court Seeks Details of Properties

Amritsar: A local court has declared sitting MLA Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra a proclaimed offender after he failed to appear before it in connection with an ongoing case.

Declared Absconding, Property Details Sought

The court also directed the police to submit complete details of the accused’s movable and immovable properties, as Pathanmajra has been officially declared absconding.

Failure to Appear Despite Summons and Warrants

According to court proceedings, despite repeated summons and warrants, the MLA did not present himself before the court, prompting the judge to initiate proceedings under the relevant provisions of law and declare him a proclaimed offender.

Police Asked to Trace Accused

The court has now instructed the police to trace Pathanmajra and place on record information related to his properties, which could be subject to attachment if required under legal provisions.

Next Hearing on January 31

The next hearing in the matter has been scheduled for January 31, when the police are expected to submit a detailed compliance report.
