Mohali Murder: Man Killed After Being Stopped on Road; Accused Arrested

At around 1 pm on Sunday, a young man stabbed his friend to death in Mohali. CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced, in which the young man is seen stabbing on the roadside, after being stabbed, the injured youth walks for some distance, then falls on the road.

On the road, he writhes for a while, but then he dies. The incident took place near Badali bus stand, after which the people present on the spot caught the accused and handed him over to the police. During this, the accused cried and said that the knife was accidentally hit.

The deceased has been identified as 17-year-old Sunny, a resident of Badali village. Sunny worked at a grocery store called GS Grocery Store. Sunny’s family is originally from Sambhal district in UP and has been living in this area for 18-19 years.

Sunny’s father, Sheeshpal, said that he received information about an attack on his son in the afternoon, after which he immediately reached the scene. According to the father, Sunny was at the shop until 12 noon. From there, two young men took him away with them.

He was lying on the blood-soaked ground in agony.

According to people present at the scene, Sunny was seriously injured after being stabbed and was lying on the ground in a pool of blood, groaning in pain. Locals immediately tried to take him to Kharar Civil Hospital, but he died on the way. On reaching the hospital, doctors declared him dead.

On the other hand, the young man who stabbed Sunny was caught by the people on the spot. When caught, he threw away the knife and cried that he accidentally got the knife. After this, people informed the police.

Both used to work together

After receiving the information, ASI Chamkaur Singh from Kharar Sadar police station, along with the police team, reached the spot. Initial investigation revealed that the accused is Sunny’s friend and both used to work together. During an argument over some matter, the accused, in a fit of anger, attacked Sunny with a knife. The police have taken the body into custody and started further action.
