Patna, July 5: Businessman Gopal Khemka was shot dead in Bihar on Friday night at 11:30 pm. Police have detained a suspect in this case on Saturday.
If police sources are to be believed, the murder was committed by a shooter. The STF team is continuously conducting raids to arrest him.
IG Jitendra Rana said that ‘Many aspects of the murder have come to light. An investigation is going on. The shooter has fired the shot. Some liaisoners were also with him. Important clues related to the shooter have been found.’

Khemka was murdered in front of the apartment gate
In Patna, Gopal Khemka was shot by a criminal right in front of the gate of his apartment. Khemka lived in Kataruka Niwas near Ramgulam Chowk in Gandhi Maidan police station area. In a hurry, his family rushed him to Mediversal Hospital in Patna. Where he died during treatment.
Gopal Khemka returned home from Bankipur Club late at night driving his own car. As soon as he reached near the apartment, the criminal who was lying in wait shot him in the head. The criminal had come on a bike.
CCTV footage of the murder has also surfaced. In it, a criminal is seen shooting them and running away.
As soon as the news of the murder spread, a crowd gathered outside Khemka’s house. Congress state president Rajesh Ram and Purnia MP Pappu Yadav met the family. His body has been kept inside the house for the last rites.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar took information about the entire case from the DGP. He has given instructions to arrest the criminals as soon as possible.

Gopal Khemka has 2 sons. In 2018, his son Gunjan Khemka was murdered in a similar way at the factory gate. He was shot by criminals in front of his cotton factory in Hajipur Industrial Area. The second son Gaurav Khemka is a doctor at IGIMS. His daughter lives in London. Gopal Khemka has a business ranging from petrol pump to factory and hospital.
