One criminal injured, another arrested in encounter with police in Noida

Noida: In an encounter with police in Noida’s Sector 58 area, one criminal was injured and another was arrested, according to the authorities. The police recovered illegal firearms, stolen mobile phones, and a stolen motorcycle from the suspects during the encounter, which occurred on Monday night. Officials reported that a team from the Sector 58.

Officials reported that a team from the Sector 58 police was conducting vehicle checks near Vishanpura Mandi when two young men on a motorcycle became suspicious and attempted to flee. However, they lost control of the bike and it skidded. Realizing they were trapped, the criminals opened fire on the police. In return fire, one of the suspects was shot in the leg, while the other tried to escape but was caught after a search operation.

The injured criminal was identified as Shakeel, a resident of Trilokpuri, Delhi, while the other suspect, Farid, is originally from Aligarh but resides in Trilokpuri, Delhi.

Shakeel was taken to a hospital for treatment. Authorities seized a .315 bore illegal pistol, one live cartridge, one empty cartridge, five stolen mobile phones, and a motorcycle from the pair.

Among the recovered mobile phones, one Motorola device was linked to a case at the Sector 58 police station, and the stolen motorcycle was identified in an FIR filed with Delhi Police.

The police stated that both individuals are known criminals, involved in multiple theft and robbery cases across Delhi and Noida. Further investigations are ongoing to uncover more of their criminal activities.
