Many districts of Purvanchal are cloudy. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in 50 districts today. During this time, winds will blow at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour.

Talking about 24 hours, Banda was the hottest city. The temperature here was recorded at 42.4 degrees. Apart from this, Kanpur, Ghaziabad, Mirzapur, Rampur, Noida and Farrukhabad received rain. The maximum rainfall occurred in Noida, where 2 mm of water fell.

At the same time, during heavy rain in Mirzapur, 8 people were struck by lightning. 2 sisters died in this. Lucknow’s meteorologist Atul Singh said that the weather will remain the same till May 31.

Now know the condition of cities –

It rained for 15 minutes with strong winds in Unnao. The minimum temperature was recorded at 27 degrees. Munna, who runs a bicycle shop on the Unnao-Kanpur border, said – It rained for 15 minutes, there is some relief. It may rain more now.

It rained for 30 minutes on Thursday afternoon in Sonbhadra. This led to flooding of the roads. The temperature dropped by 2-3 degrees. Locals say that the rain has brought relief from the humidity.

Barabanki witnessed rain in the morning along with strong winds. It is still cloudy and strong winds are blowing. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature dropped by 2 degrees due to the rain.

Why did the weather change?

Meteorologist Atul Singh said that a low pressure area has formed in the Arabian Sea, which is moving northwards. This is the reason why it is raining in UP. He said- Today is the 5th day of Naupata. So far there has been no heatwave in any city of UP. It is expected to remain so in the future as well.

  • 30 May – There is a possibility of rain in entire Uttar Pradesh. The sky will remain cloudy throughout the day. Winds will blow at a speed of 30–40 km per hour. The temperature may drop by 2–3 degrees Celsius.

  • May 31 – The weather is expected to remain clear throughout the state, but strong winds at the speed of 30–40 kilometres per hour can blow.
