Rain alert in UP districts; Monsoon delayed upto 10 days

Varanasi, May 31: The weather is changing rapidly in UP. The effect of Nautapa is less visible. There was heavy rain in Lalitpur late at night. Lucknow is cloudy since morning. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in 41 districts today. During this time, winds will blow at a speed of 30-40 km per hour.

Talking about Friday, after PM Modi’s public meeting in Kanpur, a storm came at a speed of 70 km per hour. The gate of the pandal set up for the public meeting and many trees were uprooted. 2-3 vehicles got buried. After this, it rained. There was drizzle in Kaushambi, Unnao and Amethi as well.

In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall of 28.9 mm was recorded in Maharajganj. Orai of Jalaun was the hottest. The temperature here was recorded at 43.4 degrees.

Monsoon will arrive in UP after 10 days

After the entry of monsoon on 24th May, it has knocked in 18 states. The depression formed in the Bay of Bengal will move towards Bangladesh via Sagar Island. This depression will pull the monsoon in the opposite direction instead of pushing it towards North India.

This will slow down the speed of monsoon. Its effect will be visible in two-three days. It is estimated that monsoon may take a break of one week to 10 days, due to which the wait for rain may increase in many parts of Uttar Pradesh.
