Varanasi, May 5: The weather pattern in Uttar Pradesh has changed since the last one week. The weather department has issued a warning of drizzle and lightning in 58 districts today. Winds will blow at a speed of 40 to 50 km per hour in 33 districts.
Jhansi was the hottest city on Sunday. The maximum temperature recorded here was 41 degrees. Muzaffarnagar recorded the lowest temperature at 21.2 degrees. Yesterday evening, it rained in more than 10 cities including Varanasi-Jaunpur. Hailstones weighing up to 50 grams fell in Pilibhit, which even broke the glass of the car. A drop of 2-3 degrees has been recorded in the temperature.
Meteorologist Manoj Srivastava said – There is a possibility of increase in the range and intensity of rain with thunder and lightning in UP. The effect of active western disturbance is visible in the entire state. Due to the effect of moist winds coming from the Bay of Bengal, light to moderate rain is occurring in both the western and eastern divisions of the state. Its effect will remain for two more days.
Rain and hail in more than 10 cities
On Sunday, it rained in more than 10 cities including Varanasi-Jaunpur. There was a strong storm in many places. In Pilibhit, large hailstones weighing up to 50 grams fell, which even broke the glass of the car. Hailstones also fell in Ghazipur and Shahjahanpur.
Hapur, Sonbhadra, Bahraich also witnessed rain accompanied by strong winds. A strong dust storm blew in Balrampur. Meteorologists said that similar weather will prevail for the next 48 hours.
CM Yogi has instructed the officials to remain alert in the districts where there is thunderstorm, hailstorm and lightning. He said that the officials should survey the area. In case of loss of life and animals due to the disaster, distribute relief amount to the affected people immediately. Get the injured treated immediately.

According to the Meteorological Department, strong winds with a speed of 40 to 50 kmph will blow in Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Barabanki, Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Hathras, Mainpuri, Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur and surrounding areas.
