Many cities in UP have been cloudy since morning. Winds are blowing at a speed of 20-25 km per hour. Two people each died in Gorakhpur, Firozabad and Basti due to lightning in 24 hours.
Regarding rain and lightning, CM Yogi said- Officers should go to the field and survey the affected areas. Assess the damage to the crops of the farmers and send the report to the government so that they can be compensated. Immediate assistance should be given in case of loss of life and animal loss due to the disaster.
The weather department has issued a rain alert in 61 districts today. A warning of lightning has also been issued. Meteorologists say that such weather may persist for the next five days.
Why did the weather change, know
Lucknow’s meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh said- At present, a dry line is present over south-western Rajasthan, which is going up to Kerala. The whole of Uttar Pradesh is coming under its influence. Along with this, a powerful western disturbance is also active. The moist winds coming from the Bay of Bengal and the south-western winds are colliding with each other. This is the reason for this change in the weather.
