Rain in Eastern UP: One died in lightning; No heatwave during Nautapa

Varanasi, May 27: The effect of Nautapa is not visible in UP. Today, there is a rain alert in 24 districts of the eastern parts of the state. Strong winds will blow here at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour. A day before, i.e. on Monday, there was heavy rain in Farrukhabad, Shravasti, Ghazipur, Bahraich and Azamgarh. The markets of Farrukhabad were flooded with rainwater up to 2 feet. Water entered the houses. A young man died due to lightning in Ghazipur.

This is happening for the first time in 15 years in Uttar Pradesh that there will be no heat wave in any district during Nautapa. Meteorologists believe that the monsoon coming from the Bay of Bengal may arrive 4 days before June 18.

Farrukhabad: Wall collapsed, houses filled with water up to 2 feet.

Heavy rain started in Farrukhabad’s Kaimganj tehsil on Monday morning at around 9:15 am. Due to the 1-hour-long rain, Kotwali campus, main crossing, transport, Shivaji’s statue, Bajariya and Jatwara road were filled with knee-deep water. Water also entered the shops in the market. Many bikes stopped amid waterlogging. Water filled in people’s houses and warehouses in Nauniyganj and Jheel Mohalla. The wall of a warehouse also collapsed in Nauniyganj.

Shravasti: Heavy rain in the evening.

After several days of continuous scorching heat in Shravasti, the weather took a turn today. After 4 pm, heavy rain started in some areas. At the same time, this one-hour rain accompanied by light winds has given relief to the people from the heat.

However, some parts of the district had mild sunshine throughout the day, while some areas were cloudy. For the last several days, there was no wind along with bright sunshine in the district. Due to this, people were troubled by the heat. They got relief in the evening.

Bahraich: Temperature dropped by 5 degrees due to 2 hours of rain.

The weather suddenly changed in Bahraich on Monday afternoon. After strong winds, rain in many rural areas including the city gave relief to people from humidity.

Let us tell you, for the last 2 days the temperature of the district was going above 40 degrees. People were very troubled by this. Due to the change in weather, the temperature dropped by 5 degrees. On Monday evening, the temperature was recorded at 35 degrees.

One person died due to lightning in Ghazipur.

55-year-old Divyang Shivshankar Gupta of Nathanpur village died due to lightning on Monday evening in Muhammadabad, Ghazipur. Shivshankar had gone to Balapur Chatti to buy vegetables. There was a sudden change in the weather and lightning struck with a loud noise. He got badly burnt in this accident. People present nearby immediately took him to the community health center. Doctors declared him dead.
