Uttar Pradesh, May 4: The weather in Uttar Pradesh is changing continuously. There is no relief from this yet. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of hail and rain in 58 districts today. There is also a possibility of lightning. During this time, winds can blow at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour.
In view of the heat, a Jaldhari has been installed in the sanctum sanctorum of Baba Vishwanath in Varanasi. Baba is being anointed with Ganga water in the form of a fountain for eight hours. Meteorologists said that the weather will remain the same for the next 48 hours.
Talking about Saturday, Banda was the hottest city, where the temperature was recorded at 41.2°C. Mathura and Hathras received rain for the second consecutive day with strong winds, due to which the roads were flooded. There was a storm in Jhansi in the afternoon, in which many trees were uprooted and hoardings were blown away.

Lucknow’s meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh said- At present, a dry line is present over south-western Rajasthan, which is going up to Kerala. The whole of Uttar Pradesh is coming under its influence. Along with this, a powerful western disturbance is also active. The moist winds coming from the Bay of Bengal and the south-western winds are colliding with each other. This is the reason for this change in the weather.
Continuous Abhishek of Baba Vishwanath with Jaldhari for eight hours
Kashi Vishwanath temple priest Chet Narayan said that the effect of heat increases from Akshaya Tritiya. Keeping this in mind, a water pot has been installed in the sanctum sanctorum of Baba Vishwanath. Baba is being anointed with Ganga water in the form of a fountain for about eight hours. According to tradition, this anointment takes place throughout the afternoon after the midday bhog aarti.
The priest said- Although Baba Vishwanath is Kailashpati, he is not affected by any weather. But in Kashi, the devotees make special arrangements for him according to different seasons, with their feelings. This shows the unbreakable love between the devotee and God.
