Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the importance of Sadguru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, acknowledging him as a guiding light during India’s medieval period when the nation’s religion and culture faced significant threats from foreign invaders. He stated that during India’s struggle under slavery in that era, Sadguru Ravidas Ji served as a symbol of spiritual strength and cultural resilience, standing firm against efforts to destroy Indian heritage.
Yogi Adityanath highlighted the role of Sadguru Ravidas in Kashi (Varanasi), his birthplace, saying, “The inspiration of Sadguru Ravidas in Kashi continues to act as a guiding force for the nation and his followers today.” He further noted that divine saints have shown society the way of unity, helping prevent incidents like Kairana and Kandhla, and ensuring society’s safety, protection, upliftment, and resilience in tough times.
The Chief Minister was speaking at a gathering and satsang event held to observe the death anniversary of Saint Swami Gyan Bhikshuk Das Ji Maharaj. Earlier, on Tuesday, he inaugurated a statue of Maharaja Suheldev in Bahraich and launched several public welfare projects during the ‘Vijayotsav’ celebrations of Maharaja Suheldev. He also opened an exhibition at the BJP office in Lucknow to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 11 years in office, with Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak also present.
Yogi Adityanath praised the achievements of the Modi government over the past 11 years, describing it as a “golden era” of development and welfare that has made India a self-reliant and developed nation. He highlighted India’s progress in social welfare, governance, economy, and security, emphasizing that transparency and accountability have become hallmarks of the government, and that a harmonious balance between development and heritage has been achieved.
