Three attackers involved in the crime have also been arrested.

In a big turn of events, Indore’s transport businessman Raja Raghuvanshi, who had gone to Meghalaya for his honeymoon, was murdered by his wife. She has surrendered in Ghazipur, UP. Three attackers involved in the crime have also been arrested.

The attackers are from Madhya Pradesh. The search for one accused is on. Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma has given this information by posting on X.

As per reports, Sonam’s father Devi Singh said – Sonam reached a dhaba in Ghazipur at around 2 o’clock in the night. Here, she called brother Govind after asking the dhaba owner. Govind sent his acquaintance from Ghazipur there. After this, he made Sonam talk on the phone.

Ghazipur SP Dr. Iraj Raja said – Sonam Raghuvanshi was found unconscious at a dhaba in Nandganj in Ghazipur. After this, the police reached the spot. This matter is related to another state, so no action can be taken until the police from there arrive.

A guide from Shillong had claimed that three other youths were with Raja and Sonam on the day they went missing. Mawlakhiyat guide Albert Pad had told the police that Raja and Sonam were seen with three tourists on May 23 at 10 am between Nongriat and Mawlakhiyat.

Albert said he recognised the Indore couple as he had offered them his services to climb up to Nongriat a day earlier, but they had refused. He hired another guide, Vansai Ko.

He said the four were walking ahead while Sonam was behind. All four were talking in Hindi. But I could not understand what they were saying as I only know Khasi and English. He said they spent the night at Shipra Home Stay and returned the next day without the guide.

Raja and Sonam Raghuvanshi got married on May 11. They left for Shillong on May 20 for their honeymoon. First they visited Maa Kamakhya in Guwahati. From here, they left for Shillong in Meghalaya on May 23. Initially the family kept talking to both of them, then the contact was lost.
