Barabanki, May 1: A tragic accident occurred in Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki where a Bolero car hit by a dumper very badly. Wife who was going to receive her husband, who had returned from Kuwait, from Lucknow airport, died in this accident. The condition of the 6-year-old son, mother-in-law and father-in-law is critical. The family was coming from Bahraich to Lucknow in a Bolero when an uncontrolled dumper hit them. The dumper broke the wall and entered the roadside house.
After the accident, people from the vicinity rushed to the spot after hearing the screams. The injured were stuck in the car. They were taken out by breaking the door. All of them were admitted to CHC, where doctors declared the woman and the driver dead.
The woman’s son, father-in-law, mother-in-law and sister-in-law were referred to Lucknow Trauma Centre after primary treatment. The accident took place at 5:30 am on Tuesday on the Lucknow-Bahraich National Highway near Dalsarai, 25 km from Barabanki district headquarters.
People were stuck in the car, they were taken out by cutting the door
According to the police, the family is from Aliya Bulbul village in the Risiya police station area of Bahraich. The woman who lost her life in the accident was Sumaiya Ansari (28). Her husband, Tufaid Ahmed, had returned from Kuwait on Thursday morning. Sumaiya was going to Lucknow to receive him along with her son Sahil, father-in-law Mohammad Ali (55), mother-in-law Sajida (50) and sister-in-law Rihana (18).
Sumaiya’s relative Jamini was driving the Bolero. Sumaiya was sitting in the front seat, and the rest of the family members were sitting in the back seats. A speeding dumper hit their Bolero near Dalsarai in Barabanki. Then it dragged the Bolero and entered a house. The family members got stuck in the car.
Hearing the screams, the people nearby rushed to the spot. After this, with the help of the police, the door was broken and the injured were taken out. All were taken to CHC, where doctors declared Sumaiya and the driver dead. Whereas, the son, mother-in-law, father-in-law and sister-in-law were referred to Lucknow Trauma Center after primary treatment.
The car was badly damaged, there were blood stains everywhere
After the accident, the dumper driver abandoned the vehicle and fled from the spot, while Khalasi Rajendra Kamlesh (25) sustained minor injuries. The police caught him on the spot. The accident was so severe that the front part of the car was badly damaged. In the pictures that have surfaced, blood stains are visible at many places on the car. The police called a crane and pulled out the dumper.
