Patna: The budget session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly is going on. On Tuesday, the 9th day of the session, a funny incident occurred.
The session began and the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Satish Mahana came and sat on his seat. As soon as he sat on the seat, he said- ‘This morning I received information that in this hall of our Vidhan Sabha, some Member has spit after consuming pan masala. So, I came here and got it cleaned. I have seen the MLA in the video. But I do not want to humiliate any individual. So, I am not taking their name. I urge all Members that if they see anyone doing this, they should stop them’
The Speaker of the Assembly further said, Understand what I am saying. This is the Assembly of all of us. Not just the Speaker. This is the Assembly of 25 crore people of Uttar Pradesh. It is our responsibility to keep it clean. I do not want to take the name of the honorable member. If he comes to me on his own and accepts his mistake, then it is fine, otherwise I will call him.’
