The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rain warning in 11 states including Madhya Pradesh today. These include Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh as well as Goa, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and West Bengal.
After the rain in the last few days due to Western Disturbance, the temperature of Punjab has dropped drastically. The maximum temperature has reached normal.
Western disturbance is getting active in Himachal Pradesh today. Due to this, there is a possibility of rain in the mountains for the next three-four days.
The heat wave is continuously increasing in Himachal Pradesh. On Saturday, heat wave blew in eight districts of the state, Una, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Kangra, Kullu, Shimla, Mandi and Sirmaur.
People in Punjab will have to face more severe heat. The Meteorological Department has issued a heat wave alert for 2 days. Today, Orange alert has been issued in 17 districts of the state and Yellow alert in 6 districts.
Friday was recorded as the hottest day of the season in Himachal Pradesh. The temperature of Neri in Hamirpur has reached 46.7 degrees Celsius. Earlier, on May 29 this year, the highest temperature of 46.3 degrees was recorded in Neri.
A storm alert has been issued today in Haryana amid the scorching heat. During this time, most of the districts will remain cloudy. Also, dusty winds are expected to blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers
