Spy Shared Army Movement with Pakistan for ₹40,000: Installed 360° Camera on Highway in Pathankot, Received Instructions from Dubai

Pathankot: A spy arrested in Pathankot transmitted live feeds of the movements of the Indian Army and paramilitary forces to Pakistan in exchange for ₹40,000. In January of this year, working in collusion with three accomplices, he installed a high-definition 360-degree camera on the Pathankot-Jammu National Highway, a route frequently traversed by Army convoys.

SSP reveals the details 

SSP Daljinder Singh Dhillon stated that the accused, Baljit Singh alias Bittu, had the camera installed at a local shop. Access to the device was shared between Baljit and his handlers within the Pakistani intelligence agency. He transmitted the live feeds to his Pakistani handlers via a private internet connection. Interrogation has revealed that he was receiving instructions from an individual based in Dubai.

Accused arrested 

The police apprehended him on Wednesday night (May 20), following which he was taken into custody on a five-day remand. His interrogation is currently underway.
