PM to Visit UP on Vajpayee’s 101st Birth Anniversary, December 25

Lucknow: Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, is set to witness a new monument of national importance. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the “Rashtra Prerna Sthal” on December 25th, the 101st birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee. This memorial complex is dedicated to the ideals of nationalism and nation-building of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Memorial dedicated to the three pillars of nationalist ideology

Spread over approximately 65 acres, this memorial has been developed at a cost of ₹230 crore. 65-foot-tall bronze statues of the three great leaders have been installed here, symbolizing their contributions to India’s political thought, cultural values, and governance philosophy. On this occasion, the Prime Minister will also dedicate a state-of-the-art museum to the nation, aimed at strengthening the spirit of national service and patriotism in future generations.

Lotus-Shaped Museum to Showcase Historical Heritage

Built by the Lucknow Development Authority, this lotus-shaped museum spans 98,000 square feet and includes five galleries, five courtyards, 12 interpretation walls, and a VVIP green room across two floors.

The first gallery depicts key moments in the lives of the three leaders through audio-visual mediums, while the second gallery presents the journey of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh. Other galleries are dedicated to Dr. Mukherjee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee, showcasing rare photographs, newspaper clippings, and silicone sculptures. The courtyards feature replicas of Bharat Mata, the Jana Sangh lamp, and the Sudarshan Chakra, as well as murals depicting India’s freedom struggle and lines from Vajpayee’s poems.

Top leaders of the country will attend, Atal Jayanti celebrations will be held across Uttar Pradesh

Prime Minister Modi will arrive in Lucknow around noon and will travel to the venue by helicopter from Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport. According to BJP sources, around two lakh people from surrounding districts will attend the event.
Defense Minister and Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh, Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and senior BJP leaders will be present on the occasion.

Before the event, BJP State President Pankaj Chaudhary inspected the venue and reviewed the preparations. Tribute programs will be held across the state on December 25th as part of the Atal Birth Centenary Celebration Campaign. A cleanliness drive was carried out at BJP offices and memorials, lamps were lit at places associated with Vajpayee, and a poetry conference will be held in Lucknow on Thursday evening in memory of former Prime Minister and poet Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
