Speaking to the media, Dhillon said the meeting focused on the party’s future roadmap and key issues facing Punjab, including agriculture, youth, border security and urban development.

BJP Plans Strong Organisation Across Punjab

Dhillon said the BJP will form strong teams at the district, mandal and village levels in the coming days with the aim of strengthening its organisation ahead of the Assembly elections.

He said the party has expanded its outreach on issues including drugs, unemployment, law and order and the farm crisis. Contact programmes are being organised at the village and city levels to ensure that the benefits of Central government schemes reach families across Punjab, he said.

Targeting the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in the state, Dhillon alleged that Punjab is facing challenges such as drug abuse, deteriorating law and order and the migration of youth abroad, but claimed the ruling party has no concrete solution to these issues.

He said the BJP is committed to making Punjab a “safe, prosperous, and progressive state” and is strengthening its organisation down to the village and booth levels.

‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign Ahead of Independence Day

Dhillon also said the Punjab BJP is organising a ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign from August 9 to 14 ahead of Independence Day.

He said Tiranga Yatras will be organised across districts, cities and villages, encouraging people to hoist the national flag at their homes.

He also highlighted the nationwide ‘Samarasta Sankalp Abhiyan’, being organised in connection with the 650th birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas.

According to Dhillon, a ‘Kalash Yatra’ carrying sacred soil from Guru Ravidas’ birthplace is travelling through villages in Punjab, particularly in the Doaba region, spreading the message of his teachings and social harmony.
