Sacrilege Bill to be tabled in Punjab Assembly tomorrow: CM Mann says CISF to be withdrawn

Chandigarh, July 10: The bill on sacrilege will be presented in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha tomorrow, Friday. After this, opinions will be taken from all the organisations and people on this bill. At the same time, all the people of Punjab will get free treatment facility up to ten lakhs. Apart from this, women sarpanches doing good work will be taken on a tour of Hazur Sahib in Nanded. They will be trained there. All the expenses will be borne by the Punjab government.

This information was given by CM Bhagwant Mann after the cabinet meeting of the Punjab government. He said that a resolution was also passed to remove CISF from the dams of Punjab. At the same time, he advised Sunil Jakhar to either take care of his party or the leadership. His party came third in Ludhiana. He can leave the leadership anytime.

The 4 decisions taken in the meeting are as follows –

1.Rs. 10 lakh health cover for all Punjabis

CM Bhagwant Mann said that today very serious decisions have been taken in the cabinet in favor of the people of Punjab. Health cards up to Rs 10 lakh have been stamped. There is no form to be filled for this, there is no formality. Every resident of Punjab will get treatment facility worth Rs 10 lakh.

There is no other accounting. You just need to carry your Aadhar Card and Voter Card. This is a very big health care scheme. Every Punjabi will be eligible for the scheme. 552 private hospitals have been empanelled. This number will be increased to 1000.

2. Hazur Sahib tour for women sarpanches 

Everyone talks about empowering women. We have started taking steps in this direction. 50 percent of our seats are reserved for women. The women sarpanchs who have been elected are doing good work. We will take them to visit Hazur Sahib Naded.

We will have to book four or five trains. They will be sent in different batches. The Punjab government will bear all the expenses. A training camp for sarpanches and panches will also be held in Maharashtra. The tour will be of five days. You will be informed about this after talking to the railways.

3. CISF to be withdrawn from dams

CA Mann said that tomorrow, on 11th July, there is a session of Punjab Vidhan Sabha. A decision was taken during the time of Captain Amarinder Singh. CISF can come to Punjab. It happened during the time of Congress government. We will also give them money. Tomorrow we are bringing a proposal to repeal this law. Punjab Police is capable of protecting the dams and borders. We will repeal it tomorrow. The center will have to pay the money, Punjab Police can do this work easily.

4. Strong law against Sacrilege in pipeline 

A very big law is going to be made to stop sacrilege. For this, we will consult different organizations. What amendments are to be made in it. For this, we will discuss and take opinion. This law will be forever. Nothing should be left out in haste. We will talk to people of every religion. The bill will be prepared and sent to the Consultative Committee.
