Punjab Government Releases Helpline Numbers for Punjabi Families Stranded in Arab Countries

Chandigarh: Many Punjabi families living in Arab countries are facing difficult circumstances due to the ongoing war between Israel and Iran. The Punjab government has come forward to support them. The government has established a control room to monitor the situation and provide assistance to those affected.

Landline and WhatsApp numbers for the control room have been issued so that people can contact directly and ensure assistance to their families. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann shared this information on his social media platform, X. The government is also working to gather data on how many people from the state are currently stranded in the affected areas.

Constant Contact with the Ministry of External Affairs

The Chief Minister stated that in view of the ongoing conflict in Arab countries, the safety of Punjabi families living there is a priority for the government. The NRI wing of the Punjab government has issued 24×7 control room numbers for this purpose.

He appealed that if anyone finds themselves or their family members stranded in these countries, they should contact them immediately. According to officials, the state government is in constant coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs to provide all possible assistance to those in need.
