Amritsar: The Punjab government on Friday ordered the transfer and posting of IPS officer Harambir Singh with immediate effect on administrative grounds.

According to an order issued by the Department of Home Affairs, Harambir Singh, IPS (SPS:2010), who is currently serving as DIG, Border Range, Amritsar, has been posted as DIG, Border Range, Amritsar, and additionally as Commissioner of Police, Amritsar.

He will take over as Commissioner of Police, Amritsar in place of Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, IPS (SPS:2004).
