Punjab Police Foil Targeted Firing Plot, Arrest Four in Tarn Taran Crackdown

Amritsar: The Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) Punjab, in collaboration with Tarn Taran police, conducted a successful operation based on intelligence inputs.

Two homemade .32-bore pistols and four live cartridges were recovered from the four arrested suspects planning targeted shootings.

Plot Linked to Notorious Foreign Gangsters

Preliminary investigations revealed the accused were acting under instructions from Prabh Dasuwal and Doni Bal, notorious criminals based abroad.

The arrested gang members were planning attacks on specific individuals in the border region to instill fear and terror among the local population.

Accused Have Prior Criminal Records

Police confirmed that all four suspects have prior involvement in criminal activities and have been registered in multiple FIRs before.

An FIR has been filed under relevant sections, and further investigation is ongoing to identify other individuals linked to the gangster network.

DGP Gaurav Yadav emphasized that the Punjab Police remains committed to eliminating gangsters and organized crime across the state.
