Punjab CM Mann Announces ₹1,000 Monthly Allowance for Women in Next Budget

Tarn Taran: Women in Punjab will begin receiving ₹1,000 per month from the next budget. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann made this announcement during an election roadshow in Tarn Taran. Mann was in Tarn Taran to promote Aam Aadmi Party candidate Harmeet Singh Sandhu. During the roadshow, he also took a dig at Akali Dal MP Harsimrat Badal’s statement.

CM Bhagwant Mann said that electricity bills have been waived, and children’s school fees are being saved. 5,000 rupees are being saved. Youth have also been given jobs. It is our responsibility to run Punjab. We have to decide what to give to whom, based on what. We have promised mothers and sisters 1,000 rupees. In the next budget, we will give 1,000 rupees to women. We had promised to fulfill our promises within five years. We will do that.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also took jibe at the Akali Dal.

 He also took a dig at MP Harsimrat Badal’s statement that during her government, there was no trace of Chitta. Mann said that Majithia was known as Chitta at that time. Majithia’s name was used instead of Chitta, Majithia Puri.

Earlier, Harsimrat Badal had said that those who sell chits should be left with nothing. Indeed, Bikram Majithia is now left with nothing. He asks for a pillow in jail.
