100 days of Dallewal’s hunger strike: Hundred farmers on one-day hunger strike in solidarity

Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal’s hunger strike at Khanauri border of Punjab-Haryana is completing 100 days today (5 March). Due to this, 100 farmers will sit on a one-day hunger strike at Khanauri Morcha on Wednesday. At the same time, farmers will be on hunger strike at district and tehsil level in all parts of the country.

Jagjit Singh Dallewal will address the farmers sitting on hunger strike today. On the other hand, farmer leaders have called for the United Kisan Morcha to be released immediately. He has condemned the arrest of farmer leaders and workers. He said that this is a push with the farmer leaders.

Dallewal started his hunger strike on 26 November when the central government was not talking to him on any issue. While the front was going on since 13 February 2024. During this, he had said that he would not eat any kind of food and would not take medical facilities. But when his hunger strike completed 50 days. Dallewal’s health started deteriorating and the matter reached the Supreme Court.

After this, the central government officials reached the front. They invited the farmers for a meeting on February 14. After this, Dallewal decided to take medical help. After this, a meeting was held on February 22. Whereas now the meeting is scheduled for March 19. However, before starting the hunger strike, he has also got his land registered in the name of his son, daughter-in-law and grandson so that there is no dispute.
