AGTF apprehends associate of Lakhbir Landa, arms recovered

The arrested accused has been identified as Sukhchain alias Bhujia.

In a major breakthrough, Anti-Gangster Task Force, AGTF Punjab apprehended an associate of a notorious terrorist. The information about arrest has been shared by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav. 
The arrested associate was linked with notorious terrorist Lakhbir Singh alias Landa Harike. The arrested accused has been identified as Sukhchain alias Bhujia.
As per police, Sukhchain was wanted in a recent attempt to murder case at Bhikhi, Mansa. The arrested accused has a criminal history with a number of criminal cases such as attempt to murder, Arms Act and NDPS Act etc, registered against him.
A preliminary investigation of the police has revealed that the arrested accused was planning to target rival gang members.

In this operation, police also made recovery of arms and ammunition. Police recovered one .32 Caliber pistol and 05 live cartridges from the said accused.

DGP Yadav further assured that Punjab Police is fully committed to eradicate organised crime in the state and ensure a safer Punjab for people.
