Chandigarh: Punjab Police’s Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), in a joint operation with Mohali Police, foiled a major gangster plot on Wednesday with the arrest of two operatives linked to foreign-based gangster Goldy Dhillon of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang following an exchange of fire on the Ambala–Dera Bassi highway, Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav.

According to the police, both arrested individuals have a criminal background, with cases under attempt to murder, NDPS Act, Arms Act, and snatching.

The car used in the crime was recovered from Dharamshala.

The arrested accused has been identified as Sukhchain alias Bhujia.

The arrested members include Simarjot Singh of Ludhiana and Arshpreet Singh alias Arsh of Patiala. The arrested criminals have a criminal history.
