AGTF busts terror module operated by Iqbalpreet Buchi; two arrested,firearms seized

The arrested members include Simarjot Singh of Ludhiana and Arshpreet Singh alias Arsh of Patiala. The arrested criminals have a criminal history.

Chandigarh: In a follow-up action, Anti-Gangster Task Force Punjab has busted a terror module. Punjab Police busted a terror module operated by a USA-based terrorist Iqbalpreet Singh alias Buchi. Last month, AGTF arrested four members of the same module and today in follow up action, AGTF arrested two members of the gang. Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav shared this information on his X handle.

USA based terrorist Iqbalpreet singh alias Buchi isd a close associate of Ramandeep Bagga @ Canada who is lodged in Tihar Jail under UAPA charges. He was lodged in jail in case of targeted killings in Punjab during 2016-17.

The arrested members include Simarjot Singh of Ludhiana and Arshpreet Singh alias Arsh of Patiala. The arrested criminals have a criminal history.

Earlier, AGTF had busted a module operated by foreign-based Iqbalpreet Sing alias Buchi with the arrest of four of its members including the key-operative Gurwinder alias Shera in May 2024.

The timely action of AGTF and arrest of operatives has averted sensational crimes in Punjab & neighboring states. Along with the arrest police also made recovery of 2 pistols and 11 live cartridges.
