In a joint operation by the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) and the Faridkot police, an operative of foreign-based gangster was arrested. The arrest was made after a brief fire exchange between the miscreant and the police. The information has been shared by DGP Gaurav Yadav through a post on X.

The arrested accused has been identified as Manpreet Singh alias Manni. Manni as per police is an operative of foreign-based gangster Gaurav alias Lucky Patyal and Davinder Bambiha gang. He was arrested after brief exchange of fire at Faridkot.
He also added that Manni, was involved in recent murder at village Kapura, Moga on 19-02-2025. Manni was also involved in another firing incident at Raja Dhabha, Jagraon on 26-02-2025.
As per police after fire exchange, three accused including Manpreet and 2 more accomplices for providing shelter to him were arrested by the team.
DGP Yadav said that in a bid to escape arrest, Manni opened fire at the police team. In the retaliatory fire, he sustained a bullet injury in his left leg and has been shifted to Civil Hospital for medical treatment. The development comes two days after joint teams of AGTF & Moga Police had arrested his co-accused Malkit alias Manu.
In this operation one .30 calibre pistol along with five live cartridges were recovered by the police teams. DGP Yadav assured that Punjab Police remains committed to dismantling organized crime and ensuring public safety. Further investigations in the matter are ongoing.
