Amritsar rural police recovers 23 Kg heroin

Further investigations are underway to trace both backward and forward linkages in the smuggling network.

In a major blow to trans-border smuggling, Amritsar Rural Police successfully recovered huge amount of narcotics. The consignment was recovered from the village of Devi Daspura, Jandiala. The information about recovery has been shared by DGP Gaurav Yadav through a post on X.

As per information, the Amritsar rural police recovered a total of 23 Kg of heroin. The consignment is linked to a smuggling network operated by USA based drug smuggler Jasmit Singh alias Lucky.

In this case, Sahilpreet Singh alias Karan, a resident of Devi Daspura, has been nominated, and multiple police teams are actively working to arrest him. An FIR under the NDPS Act registered at PS Jandiala,
