Jalandhar: Speeding bolero crushes 4 people on footpath, 2 killed, 2 injured

The speed of the car was so fast that after the collision, a youth fell several feet away.

Last night at 11.30 pm in Jalandhar, a speeding Bolero car crushed people sitting on the footpath. 2 people died in this tragic accident while two people are seriously injured. Police personnel immediately reached the spot and took the injured to the hospital.

According to the information, two youths were sitting on the footpath to eat food on Friday night on Pathankot bypass of Jalandhar. They were crushed by a speeding Bolero pickup. Two youths sitting near them were injured.

The speed of the car was so fast that after the collision, a youth fell several feet away. Road Safety Force reached the spot as soon as the information of the accident was received.

Identity card of the deceased was not found

Police of Thana Division Number 8 reached the spot. Police have detained Bolero driver Shubham, a resident of Haryana. Police did not find any identity card from the youths, due to which they could not be identified.

The Bolero driver was returning after dropping the goods from Pathankot

Inspector Baljit Singh said that the Bolero driver was returning after dropping the goods in Pathankot. He had to go to Tagore Hospital located near Workshop Chowk in Jalandhar. The reason for the accident is not yet known. The bodies have been kept in the Civil Hospital for identification. Both the deceased were labourers. The accident was so terrible that after hitting the people, the Bolero also hit two vehicles.
