Mahapanchayat in Jagjit Dallewal’s village today: Farmers to blow bugle against the AAP

After the forced dismantling of the Khanauri and Shambhu border fronts in Punjab, the farmers’ organizations have prepared for a struggle against the state government. Under this, the Bharatiya Kisan Union Ekta Sidhupur has announced to hold Kisan Mahapanchayats in all the districts of the state. It will start today (on April 3) from Dallewala, the native village of the organization’s provincial president and farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal in Faridkot.

Earlier, the organization had announced to hold Kisan Mahapanchayats in Sirhind, Dhanaula and village Doda of Sri Muktsar Sahib district on April 6, 7 and 8, which has now been changed. Although these three Mahapanchayats will be held on the fixed days, but now it will be at the district level. Earlier, all the districts of the state were to be covered in these three programs.

In the new plan, there will be a separate Mahapanchayat in every district. Preparations are going on in full swing for the Mahapanchayat in village Dallewala. According to an estimate, 8 to 10 thousand farmers can participate in it. In this regard, village sarpanch Simranjit Singh said that even though he is associated with the Congress party, he is contributing to the Mahapanchayat as a farmer.

On this occasion, BKU Ekta Sidhupur district president Bohar Singh said that apart from Jagjit Singh Dallewal, senior leaders of all the organizations associated with SKM non-political and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha Bharat will participate in the Mahapanchayat and the outline of the struggle against the state government will be announced.
