Punjab desk: In recent development in Municipal Election which were to be held by November 15 in Five MCs have been postponed. The development has come forward due to delay in the work of ward delamination. As per reports, it is expected that elections in the five MCs will be held in coming 2 months.
Earlier in October, the government announced the elections to five Municipal Corporations of Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Patiala and Phagwara. As per the notification, it was said that elections will be held between November 1 and 15.
The government has already previously announced the elections to 39 municipal councils and nagar panchayats.
