Kapurthala: A minor girl of about 12 and a half years of age from a family living in a government warehouse on Peer Chaudhary Road in Kapurthala city has been missing for the last week. After giving a complaint to the City Thana-2 Urban Estate Police, an FIR has been registered against unknown persons.
The said girl can be seen coming and going on the CCTV camera installed in a nearby house. The police say that the girl is being searched. Nearby CCTV cameras are being examined.
According to the information received from the police, a person living in a government warehouse near Peer Chaudhary Road said that he has three girls and two boys. One of his daughters is about 12 and a half years old. She is a student in 5th grade. On July 4th, at around 7:30 in the morning, she went to a doctor’s house nearby to play with the children. But after that, she did not return home.
The girl’s father also told her that after enquiring with the neighbours and his close relatives, when she was not found, a complaint was lodged with the police. He also said that he suspects that some unknown person has lured his daughter, taken her somewhere, and is keeping her in a secret place.
SHO of City Police Station Manjit Singh said that an FIR has been registered against the unknown person on the complaint of the father. The CCTV camera installed in the doctor’s house where the father is saying that she went was checked, and it was seen that the girl had gone to his house on July 3 in the morning and was also seen returning from home in the evening. After that, she did not go to his house.
On the other hand, in some other cameras, the girl is seen going in an autorickshaw in the morning. At present, the number of the car cannot be traced. At the same time, other CCTV cameras installed around the incident site are also being searched. He claimed that the missing girl would be found soon.
