This morning, a sensation spread in the Samania Gate area of Patiala when a mother and son living in a rented house were attacked with sharp weapons at around 3:30 am.
Giving information about the case, DSP City One Satnam Singh said that a 45-year-old woman died in the attack while her 18-year-old son is undergoing treatment at the Government Rajindra Hospital in serious condition.
DSP Satnam Singh said that the woman is in a divorce case with her husband, who is a resident of Barnala. The woman had been living in a rented house near her parents’ house in Patiala for a long time.
DSP Satnam Singh said that police are investigating the case from all sides. Currently, a case has been registered at the Kotwali police station.
