Jalandhar: Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh reached Jalandhar Civil Hospital today i.e. Thursday and inspected the hospital. During this, Jalandhar DC Himanshu Aggarwal and Police Commissioner Dhanpreet Kaur were also present on the spot. He also discussed with the officials about the action being taken against drug smugglers.
Punjab Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh said- After our government came to power in Punjab, more than 90 percent of the people do not receive electricity bills. Apart from this, more than 2 crore 99 lakh people were treated for free in the mohalla clinics opened by the health department. Apart from this, many types of treatment of patients are being done for free in civil hospitals.

Minister Balbir Singh further said- People are getting medicines for free in the Civil Hospital. I myself am going and taking the report of which medicines are available and which are not. The medicines which are not available are made available at the said centre as soon as possible.
Minister said- Addicts will be admitted to de-addiction centres
Minister Balbir Singh further said- Similarly, good work has been done in the education department as well. A campaign is being run by the Punjab government to make Punjab drug-free. My purpose of coming to Jalandhar is to discuss the future situation against drug addiction.
Minister Balbir further said that Jalandhar is our biggest de-addiction centre. Our effort is to get those who are addicted to drugs and commit crimes for drugs admitted to the de-addiction centre. Minister Balbir Singh further said- We will also meet people who have given up drugs after becoming addicted to them. So that people can be told through them in what condition they gave up drugs.
