Due to this there is a possibility of slight relief from the cold. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature is expected to increase by 4 degrees in the coming 3 days.
According to the Meteorological Center, the sun has been shining every day in Punjab for the last three days. At the same time, there are chances of sunshine in the coming four days as well. Due to this, the temperature is increasing continuously.
The maximum temperature in the state has increased by 0.8 degrees Celsius, although it is 1.6 degrees Celsius higher than normal. The highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded at 31.1 degrees Celsius in Faridkot and 29.3 degrees Celsius in Abohar.
There has been some relief from the rising temperature for the last few days. According to the Meteorological Center, a new western disturbance is becoming active from March 9. Its effect will be more in the upper areas of Himachal Pradesh. There may be snowfall there and there are also chances of rain.
The effect of these western disturbances has been seen in the plains of Punjab since March 12. It is estimated that there may be light rain in the plains of Punjab on March 12 and 13. However, no alert has been issued for these days.
