Punjab youth dies of heart attack in Canada

A man living in Tarn Taran, Punjab died of a heart attack in Calgary, Canada. The deceased has been identified as Rupinder Singh alias Roop, a resident of village Dev in Tarn Taran.

Tarn Taran: A man living in Tarn Taran, Punjab died of a heart attack in Calgary, Canada. The deceased has been identified as Rupinder Singh alias Roop, a resident of village Dev in Tarn Taran. He suffered a heart attack in Canada last night. After which the family got the news of his death.

Rupinder Singh’s death has caused a wave of mourning in the entire family and the village. His wife Navjot Kaur told in the village – her husband had gone to Calgary, Canada about 7 months ago. Where he had got a job a few days ago. But yesterday a call came from one of her husband’s colleagues that Rupinder first had a heart attack and later he died.

The family said- 5 year old daughter lost her father

The family said that they had sold their land to send their son abroad. With the money they got from this, they spent Rs 22 lakh to send Rupinder abroad. They said that Rupinder Singh’s 5-year-old daughter has lost her father.

The family has sought help from Sarbat Da Bhala Trust and the Punjab government to bring back their child’s body so that his last rites can be performed in India. Rupinder Singh’s father Sardul Singh said that he had sold everything he had and sent him abroad.
