Patiala: In a major development in the 16 year old murder case of senior RSS leader Rulda Singh in Patiala, the police have acquitted Jagtar Singh and Ramandeep Singh Goldy. The murder, which occurred on July 28, 2009, when Rulda Singh was shot outside his house, had left him critically injured. He succumbed to his injuries two weeks later.

Jagtar Singh tara, convicted in the murder case of former Punjab CM Beant Singh, has been sentenced and sent back to Chandigarh Jail in another case. the court had acquitted five other individuals in 2015 due to lack of evidence.

A total of 18 people were initially named in the case, including three British nationals-Pyara Singh Gill, Amritvir Singh Ghatiwala and Gursharanvir Singh Ghatiwal- who were arrested in 202 but later released after India’s extradition request was rejected The case continues to attract attention due to its complex legal proceedings and ongoing developments.
