Sandeep Thapar Attack case: Third accused held by Ludhiana Police

During the investigation by the police, it has been found out that apart from the previously two accused, Sunny had also committed the crime.

Ludhiana: The Ludhiana Police arrested the third accused today in the case of attack on Shiv Sena leader Sandeep Thapar.

The third accused has been identified as Jaswinder Singh, aka Sunny.
As per the press release issued by the police, the two other accused identified as Sarabjit Singh aka Sabha and Harjot Singh aka Jota have already been arrested in the case.


During the investigation by the police, it has been found out that apart from the previously two accused, Sunny had also committed the crime. He was arrested by the police based on the secret information they received.

Shiv Sena Leader Sandeep Thapar attacked in Ludhiana


Earlier, on July 6, Sandeep Thapar was attacked by three unknown people with a sword in Ludhiana, as per information from the police.

According to Jaskaran Singh Teja, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Ludhiana, Thapar was attacked on July 6 at around 11: 30 a.m.

“Around 11:30 a.m., three unknown people attacked Sandeep Thapar with a sword. He got injured and is under treatment in the hospital. The accused have been identified and they will be arrested soon,” DCP Ludhiana said.
