SAS Nagar: Checking of School Buses under safe school vehicle policy

District Child Protection Officer, S.A.S. Nagar informed that this checking will be done continuously so that the school administrators can ensure complete compliance with the conditions

SAS Nagar: Under the Safe School Vehicle Policy in the city, Deputy Commissioner, S.A.S Nagar conducted surprise checking of school buses. Checking was done by the District Level Safe School Vehicle Committee.

Talking in this regard, Mrs. Navpreet Kaur, District Child Protection Officer S.A.S. Nagar said that it is mandatory for the school administration to ensure the compliance of school vehicles with these rules under the Punjab Safe School Vehicle Policy.

Under this purpose, school buses are being checked by the team. The buses of Vidya Valley School, Sector 123, Sunny Enclave, Kharar were checked by Navpreet Kaur, District Child Protection Officer, Janak Raj (Incharge Traffic Education), and Jasveer Singh of Education Department.

During this period, 9 buses of Vidya Valley School were checked and challans were also issued for 5 buses. Meanwhile, the drivers and lady attendants of the buses were informed about the instructions of the Safe School Vehicle Policy and the school children were given information about the traffic rules.

District Child Protection Officer, S.A.S. Nagar informed that this checking will be done continuously so that the school administrators can ensure complete compliance with the conditions of the Safe School Vehicle Policy.
