Chandigarh: The weather has changed in Punjab. On Wednesday, the average maximum temperature increased by 0.6 degrees Celsius, due to which the heat has started increasing in the state. According to the Meteorological Department, the average temperature of the state was recorded 2.5 degrees Celsius above normal.
The highest temperature of this season so far was recorded in Bathinda at 32.3 degrees Celsius. Western disturbance was active for the last few days. Due to which the Meteorological Department had issued a yellow alert regarding rain for two days, but neither did it rain nor was there any relief from the heat.
The heat will increase further in the coming days
According to the Meteorological Department, at present no western disturbance is active, due to which there is no possibility of rain. The temperature may increase further in the next few days. The effect of heat will be felt more especially during the afternoon.
Experts say that now the temperature will increase gradually and by next week it can reach 34°C to 36°C in many places. Farmers and general public of the state have been advised to be cautious of the strong sunlight and increasing heat.

Ludhiana-The sky will be clear. There will be a slight increase in temperature. The temperature can remain between 14 to 31 degrees.
Patiala-Light clouds are expected and the sun will shine. There will also be a slight increase in temperature. The temperature can remain between 14 to 32 degrees.
Mohali-The sky will be clear. There will be a slight increase in temperature. The temperature can remain between 16 to 30 degrees.
