Raghav Chadha Enjoys Tea, Discusses Punjab Politics At Amritsar’s Giani Tea Stall

Amritsar: BJP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha made a late-night stop at Amritsar’s famous Giani Tea Stall, where he enjoyed traditional Amritsari tea and interacted with locals, discussing the political situation in Punjab.

Chadha shared photographs of his visit on X on Saturday and said that after wrapping up his day’s schedule, he reached the popular tea stall, where conversations on Punjab politics continued late into the night.

“After wrapping up the day’s schedule, I reached the famous Giani Tea Stall in Amritsar. Amid sips of tea, discussions on Punjab’s politics stretched late into the night with folks around,” Chadha wrote.

He also shared a light-hearted message about his love for tea, writing, “Nahse mei naash hai, chai mei vishwas hai. Kuch logo mei bhram hai, lekin chai mei dum hai.”

Giani Tea Stall is a well-known spot in Amritsar, particularly popular for its traditional tea. The outlet has also gained attention on social media and is a familiar stop for visitors exploring the city’s local food and tea culture.

Chadha’s visit came a day after he participated in the launch of the Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra in Pathankot alongside BJP National President Nitin Nabin. Reports from the launch confirmed Chadha’s participation in the campaign and his interaction with families affected by drug abuse.

Raghav Chadha Joins Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra

During the Pathankot programme, Chadha said he had met families affected by drug abuse and described their experiences as a painful reminder of the impact of the crisis.

“Drugs don’t just destroy lives. They destroy families,” he said.

Chadha also criticised the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab, alleging that it had failed to fulfil its promise of tackling the drug menace. He further claimed that the supply of narcotics, including “chitta”, had increased in the state.

These remarks are part of the BJP’s political criticism of the Punjab government. The Nasha Mukt Punjab Yatra is a BJP campaign focused on the issue of drug abuse and is planned to cover all 117 Assembly constituencies across Punjab.

The campaign began from Pathankot on September 18 and is scheduled to continue through September 30, with four routes planned across the state.
