“Any Stage, Any Venue”: Rahul Gandhi Renews Open Debate Challenge to PM Modi, Suggests Mohan Bhagwat as Judge

New Delhi: Congress President and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday again called upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi to debate him publicly, after 24 hours of his initial call to the Prime Minister.

In a new video and post on social media platform X, Gandhi said, “Please select any stage, any place. Come and debate me regarding who is anti-national, who is connected with foreign forces and what are those connections.”

“Modi ji it has been 24 hours since I challenged you. You have said that the Opposition is anti-national. Please select any stage, any place and debate with me who is anti-national, who is connected to foreign forces and what are those connections,” he added.

He urged Modi to accept the challenge as soon as possible. “Daro mat!”

Rahul Gandhi proposes Mohan Bhagwat as judge.

Gandhi said that there will be two chairs set across a table with media and the youth of the country present.

He also said that Modi can designate any judge of his own choice. He even suggested Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat.

“We will come, the media will come and the youth will come. We will set two chairs across a table. You can bring anyone of your choice as a judge. Even make Mohan Bhagwat ji as our judge,” he said.

Gandhi went on to add that he would like to debate Modi on many more issues, such as India’s financial system.

“How did they finalise this deal so fast? Why wasn’t the Cabinet informed? How is the Adani case and the Jeffrey Epstein issue being handled? All of this should be discussed publicly,” he said.

“Let the truth come out. Let everything be clear as day.”

Challenge comes after comments on foreign links.

Gandhi’s latest comments come after he challenged Modi on Monday, November 2, after the Prime Minister accused certain forces to trying to divide the nation and questioned their alleged foreign links.

Gandhi responded to Modi’s comment by claiming that the Prime Minister came into power and still holds power due to foreign support. He also claimed that the Indian financial system was controlled and supported by foreign interests and that Modi was backed by foreign social media.

He challenged Modi to debate him publicly and said he would be willing to debate at any location and time.

This has increased tensions between Congress and BJP regarding allegations of foreign influence.

Gandhi also mentioned that he has faced defamation cases over various issues. He said that around 45 cases have been registered against him. However he questioned why no defamation case had been filed in regards to his comments on alleged foreign links. He challenged Modi to progress the issue.

He concluded his message by wishing the Prime Minister Happy Diwali.
