Elections are the test of democracy and the solid foundation of elections is laid on voter lists which must be absolutely accurate. Common mistakes found in these lists are that the names of dead voters are also being used. 2 or 3 votes are registered in the name of one voter. The Election Commission is conducting a thorough review of the latest version of the voter lists. Recently, Chief Election Commissioner of the Election Commission, Gyanesh Kumar, was accused of not paying any attention to more than a dozen objections of his Assistant Election Commissioners. One statistic is that the number of young people between the ages of 18 and 28 has increased from 145 million to 173.8 million. The opposition has alleged that youth engagement is being deliberately delayed to marginalize the emerging Gen-Z generation. A thorough review should be conducted to determine whether those who have crossed the 18-year-old age limit have yet become voters. The Election Commission states that this is being done with great enthusiasm, which is why the figure of 145 million has reached 173.8 million, and that we fully understand our responsibility. One million voter literacy clubs are being activated across the country to make young voters aware of their rights everywhere.
