Jalandhar: An elderly man had a miraculous escape after the speeding car he was driving lost control near the Samarri Canal in the Goraiyan area of Jalandhar and overturned into a field on Wednesday.

According to local residents, the white Maruti Swift was travelling from Dhulaita village towards Apra when it hit a pothole near the Samarri Canal. The impact reportedly caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle, which skidded off the road, overturned several times, and plunged nearly 15 feet into a nearby field.

The force of the crash left the car extensively damaged. Despite the severity of the accident, the elderly driver sustained only minor injuries.
