Sambhal, July 5: Gopal, a resident of Sambhal, was married to Naina seven years ago. The couple has two children, 4-year-old Chirag and 1.5-year-old Krishna.
After three years of marriage, Naina allegedly entered into an illicit relationship with a local youth. Shocking revelations include four attempted assaults on Gopal, including an alleged rape attempt, poisoning his milk, and stabbing him with a knife.
On Tuesday, Naina allegedly called her lover, and together they tried to smother Gopal with a pillow and stab him. Gopal managed to resist, screamed for help, and was rescued by his elder brother.
The police have since taken Naina and her lover into custody, and the case has sparked outrage in the community.
