Sub-inspector shot dead in police line

Sub-Inspector Kulwant Singh, son of Jarnail Singh, died from gunshot wounds inside the police lines. He was a resident of Sherpur village in Sangrur, approximately 55 years old, and currently in charge of the Secret Cell at the police lines. He lived with his family in quarter number 232 of the Patiala Police Lines.

It has been determined that the death was caused by a revolver shot. Retired Inspector Baldev Singh stated that the deceased SI Kulwant Singh was his nephew. He was on duty yesterday for the occasion of the Bhoga of Harmel Singh Tohra.

He was on duty during the day, and in the evening, while depositing his weapon, the bullet accidentally fired, hitting him in the neck, resulting in his death. Everything else is rumored. He had recently been transferred and had moved to the police station.

Meanwhile, ASI Rajinder Kumar of Tripadi Town police station stated that they had received information that the SI had died from gunshot wounds. The information received is that when he was taking out bullets while depositing the weapon in the evening, the bullet went off and he died due to the bullet injury.
