Sukhbir Badal backs Governor’s anti-drug campaign, attacks AAP over governance failure

Ferozepur: Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Tuesday addressed the media after joining the Hon’ble Governor’s campaign against drugs in Ferozepur. During his interaction with the media, Badal strongly criticised the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab, accusing it of failing to effectively check drug abuse in the state.

Badal said the drug menace continues to harm Punjab’s youth and held the state government responsible for its inability to curb the problem. He asserted that the Akali Dal has consistently raised concerns over the issue and would continue to do so.

Assuring the people of Punjab, Badal said that the Shiromani Akali Dal would eradicate the drug menace once it comes to power in 2027. He emphasised the need for a determined and comprehensive approach to tackle drug abuse and restore a drug-free future for the state.
